The U.S. Embassy in New Delhi is seeking eligible and qualified applicants for the position of Human Resources Clerk in the Human Resources Office.

BASIC FUNCTION OF POSITION:
This position reports to the Supervisory HR Assistant (Recruitment) and assists in coordinating
and administering the Mission’s recruitment and employment programs. Assists recruitment
colleagues with all logistical arrangements of the entire recruitment cycle i.e. vacancy
announcements, interviewing, job offers to ensure all positions are filled in accordance with
established regulations, policies and guidelines.
The position performs the following duties, though not limited to:
? Drafts vacancy announcements and coordinates with the hiring office to post job opportunities
on Embassy’s website, internal newsletter, and recruitment websites and forums as needed.
? Coordinates newspaper advertisements and researches New Delhi resources to make
recommendations to ensure the widest distribution of vacancies.
? Downloads and screens applications received for eligibility and qualifications. Enters all the
information pertaining to the candidates in an excel spreadsheet for recordkeeping and
? Arranges logistics and proctors the English Placement Test and other necessary skills tests for
the advertised positions.
? Assists in maintaining all recruitment files and folders by filing documents and updating the
? Assists in the preparation of various recruitment reports and data by collecting and assimilating
? Obtains all necessary approvals to establish new positions in the Mission.
? Schedules interviews, administers the required tests, and serves on interview panels as HR
? Performs other duties as assigned.

1. Successful completion of secondary school (Class XII).
(Indicate completion / non completion by checking Yes /No under the education requirement

class-X, XII or any other degree/vocational courses, also specify the name of course and subjects
for each qualification you possess.)
2. Two years of administrative work experience in an office environment.
(Elaborate job responsibilities under item no. 20 (a/b/c/d) on the form DS-174. You may also
attach additional sheets in case you would like to provide any further information/details.)
3. Level III (Good working knowledge) in English (Speaking/ Reading/ Writing) and in Hindi
(When applying for the position, please indicate your level of proficiency for these languages
in item no. 19 on the form DS-174. This language ability will be tested)
4. Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
(Indicate your computer proficiency level (basic/intermediate/advanced) under item no. 21
on the form DS-174 for each computer application listed on the vacancy announcement.)
